BPF R 427 - FILTER WITH ADDITIVE

The BPF R427 system is constructed using passive regeneration silicon carbide (SiC) filters where the regeneration is facilitated by a concentrated liquid catalyst (commonly called FBC - Fuel Borne Catalyst) that is mixed into the fuel. This system allows regeneration from temperatures as low as 340 - 350°C. The BPF R427 filter is approved according to the Swiss VERT off-road procedure and is included in the VERT FILTER LIST.

The BPF R427 system is constructed using passive regeneration silicon carbide (SiC) filters where the regeneration is facilitated by a concentrated liquid catalyst (commonly called FBC - Fuel Borne Catalyst) that is mixed into the fuel. This system allows regeneration from temperatures as low as 340 - 350°C.
The BPF R427 filter is approved according to the Swiss VERT off-road procedure and is included in the VERT FILTER LIST.
Installation
Installation consists of positioning the BPF system in the existing exhaust line as close to the engine as possible or where suitable space is available.
The use of insulation on the engine outlet and filter system inlet piping is recommended to assist with the regeneration temperature.
The additive tank and relative dosing pump must be fitted outside the engine compartment (or where there is a maximum temperature of 60°C) and connected to the diesel line through the relevant components supplied. The electronic control unit (IP 67) for monitoring the FBC dosing, pressure and temperature parameters can be installed where it is easily accessible for the data downloading/setting operations.
The system is supplied complete with all ancillaries and wiring that must be installed according to the diagram in the use and maintenance manual provided.
Maintenance
The silicon carbide particulate filter does not require frequent maintenance. Cleaning is required and consists of cooking the filter and pulsing air through it to remove ash.
This cleaning is normally carried out every 1200 operating hours, or whenever the electronic control unit indicates cleaning is required.

Engine Suitability
The system can be applied to all diesel engines, without limitations in terms of engine age or diesel quality. For the BPF R427 system to work correctly, the temperature of the exhaust gases must be above 340-350°C for at least 40% of the engine operating time (long operating periods with the engine at the minimum temperature are not recommended).

Application
The BPF R427 filter is particularly suitable in all cases where the diesel does not meet EN590 legislation (for example sulphur content over 50 ppm) or when biofuel is used.
It can be applied to NRMM such as earth moving machinery, production generators, railway machinery, etc.

Filter Life
The BPF R427 filter is not subject to particular wear or operating hour limits, therefore its life can be considered theoretically unlimited.
