Cogeneration catalysts

Bersy designs and manufactures bespoke catalysts to specifically treat the gaseous emissions produced by cogeneration and regeneration plants.
Oxidation catalysts are available, which include a special formulation of noble metals to allow a reduction of up to 90% of carbon monoxide (CO) and unburned hydrocarbons (HC). Three way catalysts are also available which allow a considerable reduction of nitric oxides (NOx) (only for use on engines with a Lambda 1 combustion ratio).
Their application also allows up to an 80% reduction in formaldehyde (HCHO), depending on the engine and the fuel used.

Three way catalysts are also available which allow a considerable reduction of nitric oxides (NOx) (only for use on engines with a Lambda 1 combustion ratio).

The OSCA FCE catalysts can be used on both diesel and Otto cycle engines, powered with diesel, biodiesel, natural gas, biogas and syngas.
The extractable module configuration makes the replacement and maintenance of the catalytic substrate possible by opening a special inspection flange, reducing the down times by avoiding the removal of the whole catalyst body from the exhaust line.
In the standard version the structural parts are made of AISI 304 stainless steel with fixed flanges at the inlet and outlet in carbon steel, equipped with nipples for measuring the differential pressure.
As well as standard catalysts, bespoke systems can also be catered for in ord er to accommodate specific applications. INSTALLATION
It is recommended to apply OSCA FCE catalysts on the exhaust line upstream of all the other exhaust components and in a suitable position to exploit the exhaust temperature as best as possible.

MAINTENANCE
OSCA FCE catalysts do not require scheduled maintenance; it is recommended to perform an inspection every 500 hours of operation to check for any solid deposits on the surface of the honeycomb and the general state of wear.

FILTER LIFE
The life of the catalytic module is strictly connected with the type of fuel used and the engine maintenance conditions. The elements that can damage catalysts and compromise their life and performance are indicated in the specific warranty sheets.
